Furniture Upcycling Workshop

Quin Village Tidy Towns hosted its first Upcycling Workshop with the Revamp Tramp at Quin Community Centre in in March 2024. The event brought together local residents to upcycle small items of furniture that might otherwise have been thrown away. The workshop was so successful we did it again in March of 2026! Participants learned to clean and prepare their item, how to paint with primer, then a colourful top coat. Then the magic started, we learned upcycling skills like decoupage, stencils, sponging and highlighting with guilt. Over the two workshops, we gave 18 items a new lease of life! Armed with their new skills, the participants can now take old items and bring them back to life.
